Witness Ordered Jailed At Dog Burning Trial

BALTIMORE (AP) -- A Baltimore Circuit judge has ordered a witness jailed for six months for refusing to testify at the trial of twins accused of setting a pit bull puppy on fire, causing fatal burns.

Travers and Tremayne Johnson, 20, were identified at their first trial by 25-year-old Tiera Goodman as running from the scene in 2009. The first trial ended in a mistrial.

The Baltimore Sun reports that on the witness stand Tuesday, Goodman told Judge Emanuel Brown that she wasn't going to testify. A prosecutor asked if Goodman, who is serving time on an unrelated charge, would rather serve additional
time than testify.

"Yep," Goodman replied.

Prosecutors will show video of Goodman's testimony from the first trial.
