Jeremy Conn: MLB Predictions

National League:

NL East- I'm picking an upset here and going with the Miami Marlins... I like the addition of Jose Reyes and i think their young pitching gets the job done. I believe in Ozzie Guillen and i think he gets the most out of his players.

NL Central- I like the Reds in this division... They have a ton of offensive power and a pitching staff built for the regular season. I'm not totally writing off the Cardinals, although the loss of Pujols will hurt.

NL West- I'm going with pitching here. They will struggle offensively, but the Giants pitching staff is down right filthy. If Melky Cabrera can add anything with his bat, then they will pull this division out. In my opinion the only team that will contend with them is the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Wildcards- I'm going with the Phillie's and the Diamondbacks.... Phillie's pitching is too strong and Arizona is a good team in a bad division.

American League:

AL East- I like the Tampa Bay Rays and their young pitching staff. I believe that Evan Longoria has a bounce back year and is in the mix for the MVP this year.

Al Central- I don't believe that anyone will compete with the Detroit Tigers. They have 3 legitimate starting pitchers and with the addition of Prince Fielder, they will run away with this division.

AL West- The Angels have unbelievable starting pitching and they added the best player in the game. They have the best starting pitching in the American league including 3 guys that i believe are true number ones.

Wildcards- I like the Texas Rangers and the New York Yankees. Both teams are very strong and will compete to win their divisions.

Cy Young

Winners- Cliff Lee and Jared Weaver

MVP's- Giancarlo Stanton and Miguel Cabrera

Manager of the Year- Ozzie Guillen and Mike Scioscia
