EDGEWOOD, Md. (AP) — Authorities in Harford County say a man has been transported to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the face and is in serious but stable condition.

The Harford County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to a report of shots fired in the 1900-block of Waltman Road in Edgewood around 9:20 p.m. Monday.

The Sheriff’s Office says deputies found the victim, 27-year-old Edgewood resident Quentin Van Stepney Jr., lying in the road.

An investigation is ongoing.
