The high fire threat continues. Even though a cold front moved through overnight and another front is coming our way, there is just not a lot of moisture with any of these fronts.
We have seen rounds of scattered showers and will again Wednesday, that’s about it. Anything will help, but none of these fronts will bring the soaking rain that we need. And these fronts are keeping the winds high as they move through the state – only keeping the fire danger high.
The other thing these fronts will do is cool us down. We are dropping into the 30s Tuesday night and only recovering to the mid 50s Thursday. The cool air will stick around in the wake of the fronts on Thursday, with highs in the upper 50s/near 60 degrees.
Warmer air will return over the weekend, as another front moves our way. This time it will be coming from the southwest. We will see some clouds from it Saturday and more on Sunday. There is the chance for showers with this front.
