2 Men Arrested In Towson Assault Outside Pizan's Pizza

TOWSON, Md. (WJZ)— Baltimore County Police have charged two Anne Arundel County men with second-degree assault following an incident early Friday morning in the 100-block of York Road.

Glen Kyle Staley, 27, of Pasadena, and Jamar Rashad Patterson, 22, of Arnold were charged with assaulting a 22-year-old man and a 25-year-old man while they were ordering food at Pizan's Pizza around 2:30 a.m.

When officers arrived on scene, witnesses told them that six young males had assaulted two other young males, and that the suspects were last seen running toward Linden Terrace.

Patterson was arrested after a foot chase.  Staley was arrested in a parking lot near the intersection of Aigburth Road and York Road.

A witness reported that the victims, both white, were followed into the restaurant by the suspects, who yelled racial comments at the victims and did not order any food.  When the victims left the restaurant, the suspects followed them.  One of the victims told officers that the suspects knocked the pizza out of his hands for no reason.

A physical fight began, and the 25-year-old man was assaulted. The fight continued until police began to arrive.  The suspects fled at that time.

EMS personnel were called. They transported the patient to St. Joseph's Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries. The second victim received minor injuries that did not require hospitalization.

The investigation remains open, and police continue to search for the remaining four suspects.

Anyone with information about this case should call Baltimore County Police at 410-307-2020.

Staley and Patterson are being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on $75,000 bail.
