Fire Damages 11 Apartment Units In Baltimore Co.

REISTERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- Baltimore County fire officials say a two-alarm fire at an apartment complex in Reisterstown has displaced residents of nearly a dozen units.

Firefighters were called to the fire at The Preserve at Owings Crossing on Caraway Road about 2 a.m. Friday and found flames coming through the roof of the complex. About 50 firefighters battled the blaze, bringing it under control about 5:30 a.m.

Officials say 11 apartment units were damaged in the blaze. The American Red Cross was assisting displaced residents.

Two people were injured and were taken to Northwest Hospital.

Officials say the fire is under investigation.
