BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Police are looking for the dirt bike rider who struck a child and then fled the scene.

According to police, a 6-year-old boy was standing in a field in the 4200-block of 10th Street when a dirt bike hit him. The bike stopped briefly but then left the scene of the accident.

The dirt bike is red and black with the number 12 or 23 painted on the side. The suspect is described as a black male around 20 years old with braids in his hair. He was wearing a sky blue shirt.

The boy is in critical condition at Johns Hopkins.
