Ag Dept. Clears After Report Of Suspicious Envelope

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The FBI says a letter sent to the Department of Agriculture had no threats and was not a hazard.

Agents on Tuesday investigated a report of a suspicious letter at the building at 14th Street and Independence Avenue in southwest D.C.

FBI spokesman Andrew Ames says the letter was investigated and the scene is being cleared.
