CAMBRIDGE, Md. (AP) — The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service says it is asking the public for information about two bald eagle deaths in Talbot County.

The eagles were found Monday near the intersection of Kitty’s Corner and State Road 328 just south of Tuckahoe Creek. The birds are thought to have died of poisoning after feeding on a fox carcass.

The service says it is offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to a conviction. Bald eagles are no longer listed under the Endangered Species Act, but are still federally protected.
