Police Release Identities Of 3 Men Killed In Crash On Jarrettsville Pike

PHOENIX, Md. (WJZ)-- Police have released the identities of the three men killed in a crash on Jarrettsville Pike near Dulaney Valley Road.

All three were in a Volkswagen Jetta that was traveling northbound on Jarrettsville Pike when the driver, Daniel Kenneth Jagodzinski, 46, lost control of the vehicle, spun around, crossed the center dividing line and hit a tractor trailer traveling southbound on the road. The Jetta then overturned.

The tractor trailer stopped after hitting a tree. The crash happened at 6:10 a.m. on Friday.

The front seat passenger in the Jetta was Keith Sheldon Weimer Jr., 24, and the passenger in the back seat was Justin Christian Malone, 25. Jagodzinski and Weimer died at the scene of the accident while Malone was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma where he died at 12:30 p.m.

The driver of the tractor trailer was Timothy Shawn Fitzgerald, 43, who was transported to Sinai Hospital. His condition remains unknown.
