Driver Burned After Rt. 70 Accident
WESTMINSTER, Md. (WJZ) -- A driver was burned after an accident on Rt. 70 Friday.
According to police, a 2001 International Tractor owned by Murray Trucking drove through two lanes of traffic and through a guardrail. The tractor and trailer drove through a fence and struck the wood line where the truck came to rest and caught on fire.
The driver, 41-year-old Steven Ray McClintock, was able to escape but received multiple burns. McClintock was taken to the MedStar Burn Unit in Washington, D.C. He is expected to recover.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
