Police Probe Fatal Pedestrian Hit-And-Run Crash

ADELPHI, Md. (AP) — Prince George’s County are investigating a hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian near a shopping center.

Officers were called to University Boulevard near the Adelphi Shopping Center on Saturday night for a hit-and-run crash and found a 28-year-old man unresponsive.

The man, identified by police as Samuel Diaz of Hyattsville, was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Police say they believe Diaz was hit by a silver SUV that would now have front end damage. They say there were no crosswalks where Diaz was hit.
