WEATHER BLOG: Fantastic!

While Friday will be a bit on the breezy side, there will be plenty of sunshine and the afternoon will be quite pleasant.

The low pressure system that formed late Wednesday and Wednesday night, spreading a corridor of moisture up the Eastern Seaboard, is now located near Nova Scotia.

Temperatures should be mostly in the lower 70s, and then Friday night will be rather chilly under a clear sky and with less wind.

Saturday expect plenty of sunshine and a warmer afternoon. The temperature will be close to 80 degrees, and a high pressure system sliding into the Carolinas will continue to pump warm air into Maryland on a southwesterly breeze on Sunday.

There can be a shower or two Sunday night as a cool front approaches, and maybe a few showers and a thunderstorm on Monday and Tuesday as this front stalls.

The outlook for the second half of next week is fairly sunny and warmer as the countdown to the Preakness on the 19th continues.

Have a good weekend!
