Finksburg Mom Gets A Mother's Day Surprise At Sunday's Orioles Game

BALTIMORE (WJZ)-- Quite a Mother's Day surprise at Sunday's Orioles game. Imagine not seeing your son for almost a year and then, he's there, larger than life.

Adam May has the story.

Almost 30,000 fans packed Camden Yards for the Mother's Day game against the Tampa Bay Rays. They used pink bats in honor of moms. Some fans made giant cards, another delivered his message from thousands of miles away.

"Wanted to saw hi to folks at the game-- mom, dad. Hope you're enjoying the game."

"I was very surprised!" Linda Love from Finksburg said.

She was shocked.

"I want to watch it again. I was so surprised. I don't think I got to see it all," she said.

Capt. Danny Love and his brother are currently serving in Afghanistan.

"I wanted to say Happy Mother's Day to you mom, and let's go O's!"

"He's been gone since last July, and we're looking forward to him coming home sometime this summer," she said. "We're very proud our boys, love them very much."
