Steve Davis: Future Of Adam Jones
We had Dan Duquette on the show Monday. Unfortunately, he was very evasive about any plans to sign Adam Jones.
To me, this is a no-brainer. Get it done. He has thrived in the cleanup spot, and is developing into one of the premier center fielders. The team is better than we thought. Duquette looks to be good at his job, so don't trade him for prospects. Sign him as a building block.
The listeners were terribly disappointed that Duquette indicated this is a goal, if not a priority. I don't understand what is so hard about saying you want him to be an Oriole. For a long time.
