WEATHER BLOG: Beautiful Air Mass Ahead

Wednesday is our transition day.  The slow moving storm that brought us needed rain crept away overnight, while another front moves our way Wednesday afternoon.  There is the chance for a shower or thunderstorm with this next front, but that's about it.  It's racing along and will leave us Wednesday night.  Behind it, an absolutely beautiful air mass is moving our way for the second half of the week.

Dry, very refreshing air will settle into the mid-Atlantic starting Thursday.  Expect sunshine, low humidity and temperatures in the mid 70s.  That weather will carry into Friday.  We are pretty sure that this weekend is going to remain nice.  However, Wednesday's front is going to move out to sea and then spin up a new storm.  We think that storm will stay southeast of us through the weekend, while we bask in sunshine and warm air.  But if that storm does drift our way, it would change that forecast.  Make sure you check back in to get the latest on the forecast as we move into the weekend.

If that storm doesn't get here earlier, it will arrive early next week.  Clouds and some showers will return to the area Monday into Tuesday.
