LINTHICUM, Md. (WJZ)— A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect for parts of Maryland, causing several delays at BWI-Marshall airport.

Planes cannot take off or arrive because of storms in the region.

Other major airports in the mid-Atlantic are being affected, including Dulles International Airport, Reagan National Airport and JFK Airport.

If you have a flight Tuesday night, check with the airport before you leave.
