3 Teens Rescued From Waterway In Prince George's County

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) -- Three teenagers are in good condition after being rescued from a Prince George's County waterway by firefighters.

Firefighters report that three teenagers were seen Friday evening during a break in a storm rolling through the area. The teens were seen walking along the shore of the Northwest Branch of the Anacostia River. A witness later saw the three struggling in the water and called 911.

All three teens were able to grab on to a bridge support of the 38th Street Bridge. The teens were rescued using a system of ropes and pulleys set up by firefighters. They were treated for hypothermia by medics and taken to a hospital in good condition.
