WEATHER BLOG: Sailabration Underway

It looks like we'll just have some high clouds Wednesday afternoon so we're going with partly sunny. There will be a gusty breeze with strengthening pressure gradient between low offshore and high over the Great Lakes.

As a cool front continues to press to the east and off the mid-Atlantic Coast early Wednesday, there is a modest "wrinkle," or wave of low pressure that is slowing it down a bit.

This is prolonging the rain for a while in southeastern New York and in New England, which is what we had been anticipating Tuesday. However, for areas farther west, including the Greater Baltimore Area, some drier air will begin to filter into the region much more quickly.

Morning clouds will break for some sunshine, with temperatures mostly in the lower 80s Wednesday afternoon. There will be a refreshing breeze, because there will be lowering humidity.

There will be a few clouds around Wednesday night, but as a high pressure system located in eastern Canada drives a wedge of dry air southward into the mid-Atlantic states Thursday, Thursday night and Friday, our weather will show even further signs of improvement.

Highs will be around 80 Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Father's Day and Monday should be a bit warmer.

Have a good day!!!
