Prince George's Co. Man Arrested In Connection With Fairfax Co. Killing

RESTON, Va. (AP) -- Authorities say a Prince George's County man has been arrested in the killing of a Fairfax County resident over the weekend.

Fairfax County police say Abir Ali, 20, was taken into custody about noon Thursday in the killing of Bharat Patel, 40, of Reston. He is being held by the Prince George's County sheriff's office.

Police say they found Patel's body in bushes on Winterthur Lane, where Patel lived in an apartment, early Saturday morning.

Authorities initially responded to the area for a fight that morning, but did not find evidence of one. About an hour later, a missing person report was filed at the nearby Hunter Woods Plaza.

An investigation led officers back to Winterthur Lane, where they found Patel's body. Police have not identified a motive for the killing.
