BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Forbes releases its list for the top paid athletes in the world.  A Baltimore Raven made the cut and you may be surprised at who it is.

The 12th highest paid athlete in the world last year is Haloti Ngata.

According to Forbes, Ngata earned $37.1 million in salary and bonuses from the Baltimore Ravens over the last 12 months. That’s more than any other athlete playing a team sport.  The Ravens’ star defensive lineman signed a five-year deal worth $61 million in September.

Boxer Floyd Mayweather was at the top with $85 million in total earnings.
