ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — Annapolis police have charged a man with raping a 13-year-old girl.

Thirty-four-year-old Alexander Lara of Annapolis has been charged with rape, sex offense and assault. He is being held on $2 million bond.

Police say a woman called Saturday to say her daughter had been sexually assaulted. Police say Lara knows the family.
