Police: Teenage Boy Found Shot In Howard County

MARRIOTTSVILLE, Md. (AP/WJZ) -- Howard County police say a 15-year-old boy is in critical but stable condition after being
found shot in the Marriottsville area.

Police say the boy was found in the 11400 block of Frederick Road by an area resident about 7 p.m. Tuesday. He was taken to Shock Trauma in Baltimore, where he is recovering from a single gunshot wound to the head.

Investigators believe the teen was driven to the location by unknown suspects where he exited the car and was shot. Police believe the teen was involved in an ongoing dispute that may have lead to the incident. The details of that dispute are not known at this time.

Police say the boy is a resident of Baltimore County.

Authorities say they do not believe the gunshot was self-inflicted and are investigating the possibility of foul play.

No further information was immediately available.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the incident to determine what lead up to the shooting. Anyone with information should call police at 410-313-STOP. Investigators are offering a reward of up to $2,000.
