Maryland football coach Randy Edsall has added to his 2013 recruiting class.
On Thursday night, three-star athlete Richie Anderson verbally committed to play college ball for the Terps. Anderson, from Thomas Johnson High in Frederick, is the son of former NFL player Richie Anderson, Sr.
Anderson chose Maryland over Wake Forest, Temple and Rutgers, among others.
With Anderson’s pledge, Edsall now has 10 commitments for 2013. Eight of those players are from Maryland or DC.
It’s good to see Edsall and his staff keep the talent in state. Hopefully, this is the beginning of a good trend for the University of Maryland.
