HYATTSVILLE, Md. (AP) — A Prince George’s County fire spokesman says six people were injured, including four children, when a driver lost control of her vehicle and slammed into a pool where children were playing.

Officials say the accident happened around 4 p.m. Friday. Prince George’s County Fire spokesman Ron Bridges says the accident happened on 57th Ave. in Hyattsville, where a small pool was in the front yard of a home.

The injured children ranged in age from 5 to 10 years old. Bridges says one of the children has serious injuries and the other three had less serious injuries. The 30-year-old female driver of the vehicle and her 80-year-old female passenger were also transported to the hospital but with minor injuries.
