Prince George’s Police Officers Involved In Shooting

FAIRMOUNT HEIGHTS, Md. (AP) — Prince George’s County police say they are investigating a shooting that involved officers in Fairmount Heights.

Cpl. Larry Johnson, a police spokesman, says officers responded to the 5600 block of Kolb Street about 11:40 p.m. Thursday for the report of the sound of gunshots. At some point after the officers arrived, there was a confrontation with a man and the man was shot.

Johnson says the man was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

No officers were injured, but police are investigating the events that led to the shooting.
