It may not be the triple digits today, but we still hit 90 degrees this afternoon. One huge difference, though, was that the dew points/humidity dropped considerably. So this was just the first part in a two- part cool down for Maryland. After another day near 90 degrees tomorrow, a cold front on Monday will bring cooler air our way for the middle of the week.
Sunshine will mix with clouds tomorrow afternoon, then the cold front will approach us with some showers and thunderstorms. There could be something firing around here late tomorrow or tomorrow night. That chance continues into Monday as the front passes through. When this front leaves us, we will really notice a cool down around here. Highs will only be in the upper 70s to near 80 degrees on Wednesday.
In the tropics… We officially now have Debby. It was named at 5PM this evening with winds near 50 mph. Currently, Debby is slowly organizing and moving off to the north. However, there are a lot of questions about where Debby will go after that. Some models take it to the Florida coast, some take is west to the Texas coast, and some even take it off to the north. Debby is just starting to get its act together and there is a lot more to come on this, so stay tuned. All people with interests anywhere along the Gulf Coast need to pay close attention to Debby.
