WESTMINSTER, Md. (WJZ)– Westminster police are looking for a suspect in an assault near McDaniel College.
Police say that the incident happened on Friday at 2 p.m. when a 28-year-old woman was walking on West Main Street. She was approached by a man who asked her for a cigarette. When she declined, he pushed her onto a nearby stone column. The woman was able to escape after a brief struggle.
The suspect is described as a white male in his late 20s to early 30s, thin to medium build, clean shaven and very closely cropped dark hair.
Police are offering a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect. Those with information should call 410-848-4646.
