Man Dies In Northwest Washington After Storm

WASHINGTON (AP) -- A man died in northwest Washington after he touched a live power wire that came down during overnight storms.

Pepco spokeswoman Courtney Nogas says the man died Saturday morning. She said a tree fell, dislodging a power wire that fell on the man's car and started a fire.

Nogas did not have the name or age of the man to release.

Pepco says residents should report all downed wires to the power company and treat all downed wires as potentially live wires.
