COCKEYSVILLE, Md. (WJZ) –  An early morning water main break has closed parts of York Road in Cockeysville.

There is currently one lane of traffic getting by on York Road near Beaver Dam Road as crews work to fix a 12-inch main.

Drivers can use I-83 as an alternate route.

The break has caused 20 customers to lose service, with most of them being small businesses that are closed for the holiday.

Crews have fixed the break but the road closure will stay in effect through Thursday morning.
