BROOKLYN PARK, Md. (WJZ) — A young child has died after drowning in Brooklyn Park Wednesday night.

Officials with the Anne Arundel County Fire Department were called to the 600-block of Old Riverside Road shortly before 10 p.m. for reports of a 3-year-old who had drowned.  The boy’s father found him at the bottom of the pool.

The child was taken to Harbor Hospital, but was later pronounced dead.

An investigation is ongoing.
