Metro Holding Auditions For Performers

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Metro's Art in Transit program is holding auditions for live performances at Metro stations.

Metro is holding auditions Tuesday at its headquarters in Washington. The transit agency says it is looking for performers of all genres, including singers, dancers, musicians and poets.

Performances will take place from July through September. The job isn't paid, and performers won't be able to sell merchandise or solicit tips while performing. Performers will also have to pass a background check.

The auditions will take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
