Officials say they were called to the 1600-block of Coventry Place after someone reported seeing black smoke when they arrived home.

When firefighters arrived, they found a fire in the basement. The fire was placed under control around 7:45 p.m.

A firefighter fell through the floor during a collapse but was not injured. There were no other reports of injuries.
