Reporting Glenn Younes
I just wanted to take a quick few moments to settle the nerves of all us Orioles fans. This team remains ahead of schedule and dispute injuries, errors and lack of clutch hits and homers the team has a winning record. A Wild Card spot was never on my radar for this team, not even when they were 10 plus games over .500. It was too early and the rotation and lineup were far too unproven.
That said it has been damn exciting so far despite the lows directly before and after the All-star break. The roller coaster with the rotation back and forth to and from the majors, different batting order, lineups etc. it’s all part of a larger plan. Buck has a plan. I said this very early on in the season when expectations were low low low, 2012 is going to be an extended spring training for the Baltimore Birds. Buck is experimenting, as he should with this team. 2012 means nothing. The future means everything and that’s what we (myself included) need to keep in mind. Let’s ride this roller coaster both up and down because we are building tracks that take us to the top.
