Metro Track Work To Affect Red Line Over Weekend

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Metro says weekend track work on the red line will require riders traveling between the Grosvenor and Friendship Heights stations to take buses.

The transit agency says the Medical Center and Bethesda Metro stations will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday through Sunday.

Customers traveling through the area should add 30 minutes to their travel time.

Metro says the green, blue and orange line trains will also single track on parts of their line this weekend for rebuilding
work.

Green line trains will single track between Fort Totten and Prince George's Plaza. Blue line trains will single track between Van Dorn Street and Franconia-Springfield.

And orange line trains will single track between East Falls Church and West Falls Church and between Stadium-Armory and Cheverly.
