Ravens Open Camp; Harbaugh On Rice And Return Of Reed

While training camp is just underway for the Ravens but there is plenty of news already, RB Ray Rice got a new contract recently and the Ravens will not have to worry about him holding out. "It means we will have Ray here for a long period of time which is a great thing," said Harbaugh. the 5th year coach also spoke about a recent conversation with Pro Bowl safety Ed Reed, who had sounded 'disgruntled.'  Harabaugh says Reed will be at camp-on time. "Ed Reed plans on being here."

There is a concern about a few injuries, one is David Reed who may miss a great deal of camp as the coach addresses.

The team has just a little over two weeks before the first preseason game against Atlanta, to get ready. Coach Harbaugh appeared pleased with the start of camp. He also addressed the conditioning for players-such as 1st round pick LB'er Courtney Upshaw (who had to take his test twice) and how that is conducted under the new collective bargaining agreement (CBA) as well as what purpose it may serve.
