Beer Truck Overturns In Montgomery County

CLARKSBURG, Md. (AP) — A tractor-trailer carrying beer has overturned on northbound Interstate 270 in Montgomery County, creating delays during the morning commute.

Maryland State Police say the tractor-trailer overturned and struck a guardrail and barriers before coming to a rest on its side near Old Hundreds Road in Clarksburg about 4 a.m. Thursday. As of about 6:20 a.m., only the right shoulder of the northbound lanes was open.

The clean-up effort is expected to be extensive. It’s unclear when the roadway will be completely reopened.
