OT McKinnie In Ravens Camp

Offensive lineman Bryant McKinnie is back with the Ravens. but he has not been participating in training camp. After missing four practices to open the start of camp, McKinnie reported to the team's facility over the weekend. Harbaugh said "I do believe he is a hard worker, but he is not ready to practice yet". The 6-foot-8 tackle was trying to get his weight down to around 345 pounds.

McKinnie, an 11-year veteran is recovering for a strained muscle in his back. "It was great to see him, and talk to him, and visit," Harbaugh said. "That was great. I wouldn't characterize it with any emotion. There's really not any big emotion behind it." Offensive lineman Michael Oher has taken over at left tackle due to the absence of McKinnie. It appears McKinnie will be part of the team this season which was basically confirmed by Harbaugh. It does appear that there will be a competition for both tackle positions in training camp once McKinnie is back on the field. But first he must get in NFL shape .....In other news, Tight End Dennis Pitta left with a broken hand and could be ready for the season opener.
