Executive VP of Orioles Operations Dan Duquette joined the Scott Garceau Show with Jeremy Conn to talk about the Orioles activity during the trade deadline and what led them to not make any moves come 4pm on July 3st.
Duquette said that he feels the Orioles farm system is too weak and the he and the rest of the Orioles front office is trying everyday to boost the depth and players at the organization’s lower levels.
Duquette also said that the Orioles are not done here and that there will be more moves made as the season reaches its final push.
In addition, Duquette feels strongly that there is help within the organization, citing names like Nate McLouth and Xavier Avery as guys who could come up and make a difference in the coming months.
