Woman Struck & Killed On I-95 North After She Gets Out Of Her Vehicle

BALTIMORE (WJZ)-- Maryland State Police say that northbound I-95 has been closed after a woman who got out of her vehicle was struck and killed on Thursday night.

Authorities say the incident happened at 8:45 p.m. when the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver who struck her was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.

Police add that the woman got out of her vehicle at some point and that pedestrian error was to blame. They also said that there were no obvious mechanical issues with her vehicle but continue to investigate.

The highway is expected to remain closed at least until midnight.
