ABERDEEN, Md. (AP) — Authorities say a female pedestrian was struck and killed on northbound Interstate 95 in Aberdeen.

The accident occurred shortly before 9 p.m. Thursday and led police to close the interstate’s northbound lanes for roughly three hours.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators haven’t determined why she was in the roadway.
