Carroll Co. Woman Named Miss Maryland Agriculture

TIMONIUM, Md. (AP) -- A Carroll County teenager has been named Miss Maryland Agriculture 2012.

Phyllis McKenzie, 19, of Pleasant Valley was named Friday at the Maryland State Fair in Timonium. A graduate of Francis Scott Key High School, McKenzie lives and works on her family's 165-acre dairy farm.

McKenzie was awarded with scholarship and cash awards valued up to $13,000. She will participate in activities representing Maryland agriculture.
