Jeremy Conn: The AL East
A month ago I would have said it was crazy to think about winning the division, but now I think the Orioles have a realistic shot. They are currently tied for the wildcard lead and only 3.5 games out of the division with 7 games left against the Yankees.
The O's play the Yankees 7 times in 10 games and the Yankees are banged up right now. Arod just started taking batting practice and Teixeira just got hurt again so things aren't looking great for the pin stripes. The Orioles are playing great baseball and clicking at the right time. The Yankees are hurting so bad they have former cast off and former Oriole Steve Pearce batting cleanup tonight.
I'm not saying the Orioles are gonna win the East, but I really like their chances.
