Police Shoot Naked Man Armed With Rifle At Baltimore Co. Motel
BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. (WJZ) -- Baltimore County Police are investigating a police-involved shooting.
It happened around 3:40 a.m. at the Beltway Motel in the 3600-block of Washington Boulevard.
A 911 caller reported that a naked man armed with a rifle was standing in a room firing toward the outside.
When officers arrived, they made their way to the second floor. The suspect came out of his motel room still armed with the rifle.
Police say officers ordered him to drop the gun, but he did not listen.
Authorities say the 42-year-old suspect, still carrying the rifle, began to walk towards the officers.
The officers shot the suspect multiple times.
He was transported to Shock Trauma, where he is listed in critical condition.
The incident is under investigation and the officers will be placed on routine administrative leave.
