NEWARK, Del. (AP) — Newark police say a suspect in a string of burglaries at the Suburban Plaza Shopping Center has been arrested in Maryland.
Norman E. Barnes, who police say is homeless, was arrested early Thursday in Elkton, Md. He is charged with two burglaries in Maryland and is being held on $50,000 bond.
Newark police say Barnes, 49, faces 28 charges involving burglaries and attempted burglaries earlier this week at the shopping center in Delaware.
