It happened at Ingleside Avenue and Johnnycake Road.
Sky Eye Chopper 13 shows extensive damage to both vehicles.
The officer was taken to Shock Trauma with non-life threatening injuries.
The person in the other car was not injured and refused medical treatment at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
