Police ID Woman Found Dead Inside Home
RIVERDALE, Md. (AP) -- Prince George's County police are identifying a woman who was found dead inside her Riverdale home last week.
Police say Maritza Alfaro-Abarca, 32, was found at her home in the 5600-block of Kennedy Street around 8:30 p.m. last Friday. Authorities say Alfaro-Abarca had been stabbed. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say officers had gone to the home to check on Alfaro-Abarca's welfare. Police have not said what prompted them to go to the scene.
There were no signs of forced entry at the home.
Police are still investigating.
