Vinny Cerrato: 2 Questions Heading Into Ravens Opener
Sports Fan Insider
The questions I have for the Ravens going into the first game against the Bengals:
1.) The Offensive Line: Who starts? Will it be Bryant McKinney at left tackle, bobby Williams or K.O. at left guard? I prefer K.O. who is more athletic, more powerful and I think in 3 games down the road will be better. The center is Matt Birk. Right Guard is Marshall Yanda and at right tackle, Michael Oher. The Ravens need to get the starting five working together because the Bengals will have blitzes and stunts to test the communication.
2.) How the defense will handle stopping the outside run: Can Paul Kruger and Courtney Upshaw or Albert McCLellan set the edge because when I was at Bengals practice, Marvin Lewis told me he wants to run the ball and the Ravens struggled verses Jacksonville setting the edge. Plus, the Bengals have a tight end in Jermaine Gresham that weighs 270 which will cause problems for the Ravens.
These are two of my big questions going into week one. Can the Ravens o-line protect Joe and open some holes for Ray Rice and can the Ravens Defense stop the outside run.
