WEATHER BLOG: Fall-Like Monday

We are looking at one of the quietest stretches of weather in quite some time.

After a weekend of excitement it'll be a nice change of pace. This will also be the first taste of fall-like weather across the region.

Monday will be on the backside of the trough, which will mean a more stable atmosphere overall, but some afternoon clouds will still develop from some mid-level moisture and slight instability.

Also there will be enough of a pressure gradient from the high building in and the lower pressure to the east for a noticeable breeze this afternoon.

It will be another cool night Monday night, quickly dropping this evening as the sun sets. Down into the low 50s  Monday night, it'll be the coolest night since early June. There will be a few northwest suburbs that drop into the 40s.
