PASADENA, Md. (AP) — Anne Arundel County fire officials say a child playing with a lighter caused a house fire in Pasadena.

The blaze was reported about 10 a.m. Thursday on Kings Road. Firefighters arrived to find smoke coming from the second floor of a duplex. The fire in the second-floor bedroom was contained to the room and extinguished. There were no injuries.

The Capital of Annapolis reports that seven people were displaced because of the fire, which caused an estimated $20,000 in damage.
